The Sadies Return To Home County while The Northern Pikes Make Festival Debut.

Alt-country rockers The Sadies are returning to the Home County Music & Art Festival to headline the Friday evening lineup. Retro-rock trio The Northern Pikes top the Saturday evening schedule. Cape Breton Celtic sensation Còig will make their Home County debut by closing the festival on Sunday night.

“We are excited to bring a lot of fresh, new faces to perform at Home County 2016,” says Artistic Director, Darin Addison. “We are also welcoming back and number of festival favourites this year. As always, local music is well represented at Home County.”

Other acts making their festival debut include Elliott Brood, Fortunate Ones, and Great Big Sea founding member Séan McCann. Sweet Alibi, The Kramdens, David Francey, and The Ennis Sisters make their return to Home County.

Home County is a longtime supporter of local music and this year is no different. Taylor Holden will open the festival on Friday night at 6:00 p.m. with a full band. Broomsticks & Hammers kick off the Saturday evening lineup. Other local acts include Scallywag, Twin.Fin, and Mountain of Wolves.

The full lineup was announced tonight with a special event at the London Music Club that featured live performances by Taylor Holden and bilingual duo Georgian Bay.

The Home County Music & Art Festival began in 1974 as the Home County Folk Festival. Home County features more than 30 musical acts on 6 stages, over 120 juried Canadian craft artisans, over 30 food vendors serving a variety of international cuisines, craft demonstrations, a community open stage, and an interactive family area. The 43rd edition of the festival takes place July 15-17, 2016 in London’s Victoria Park. Home County continues to be accessible to all, as entrance to the festival is Admission-By-Donation.

Best of London: The Home County Music & Art Festival was selected as Runner-Up for Best Local Festival by readers of the London Free Press for four of the past five years.
